Two months waiting for a place still undecided
An unemployed candidate needed an internship to graduate the following year. After speaking with more than 60 sites, they narrowed the search to two options.
One provider, they say, had an August cohort and asked them to wait for November. It also requested documents so their name could be put on the November cohort list. They chose that option and waited two months.
When they followed up, the response was: “we will review your documents and call you for an interview to determine whether or not we accept you”.
The November start was no longer a start.
This is one candidate’s public account. It does not independently establish the unnamed provider’s process or conduct.
On that account, the candidate was first told to wait for a November cohort and send documents for the list. Only after the two-month wait did the provider describe document review and an interview as steps before acceptance.
The candidate says they had spoken to more than 60 sites, narrowed them to two, and took the one within walking distance because the other asked for a fee they could not raise.
