Still open, still unanswered

Kim Foster applied in May for a lecturer role at a local university. The all-day on-campus stage asked for two hour-long presentations: one defining the subject and how she would teach it, another mock class for a room of professors. She set aside her book research for ten days. Her last interview was on 3 June.

She was told the decision would be “quick.” She followed up on 13 July. By 6 August, the portal had not changed state. No decision. No form letter. No reply.
